April is #NationalStressAwarenessMonth. Job stress can lead to physical and emotional harm when the demands of work do not match the worker’s abilities or the available resources
To deal with stress:
1. Ask for help if you are feeling overwhelmed. And look out for signs of stress in your coworkers!
2. Tell your supervisor if you feel the schedule is creating pressure that is affecting your work and health.
3. Take care of yourself by using coping mechanisms that you enjoy: listen to music, spend time with a loved one, go on a walk, the options are limitless!
4. Exercise regularly. Exercise is a powerful stress reliever!
