On Monday, April 24, volunteers will assist the U.S. National Park Service with the beautification of the memorial. Tasks to include: debris cleanup, planting, mulching, and other tasks outlined by the park service.
Gloves, safety glasses, tools, and transportation will be provided.
The schedule:
8:15 a.m. – Depart the Washington Hilton Hotel (Entrance for Bus Pickup – T Street Entrance)
8:45 a.m. – Arrive at the Jefferson Memorial
9:00 a.m. – Orientation and Briefing, Volunteer Service Begins
12:00 p.m. – Cleanup, return equipment, and break for lunch
12:45 p.m. – Group photo and depart for hotel
On Monday, April 24, volunteers will help the AFRH staff with the removal of debris, the clean-up of the golf course and maintenance sheds, and tending to and repairing bridges.
