“We are extremely excited to see the closing of the Department of Energy’s $2.26 billion loan to Lithium Americas for their Thacker Pass project in northern Nevada. This project will put hundreds of Building Trades members to work under a project labor agreement. We are proud to partner with Lithium Americas, Bechtel, and General Motors to strengthen our nation’s battery supply chains to bring these critical minerals to the U.S. to market and build this project with a highly skilled, domestic, union workforce.”
