Energy Infrastructure Overview
Energy infrastructure accounts for nearly fifty percent of all hours worked by NABTU’s three million members and remains one of the strongest areas for growth for the unionized construction industry. There is no mistaking that the United States is currently in the throes of an energy revolution. With an increased production of energy, expanding clean energy sources, and the deployment of creative solutions to the challenge of climate change, the U.S. is positioned to be a major producer of energy for years to come.
Whether it is working on the energy grid that delivers electricity to our homes, building pipelines carrying natural gas to market, developing the rapidly expanding renewable sector, or securing the future of our nuclear facilities, NABTU members are heavily invested in working towards securing our Nation’s energy future. Underpinning these efforts is our continued commitment to advancing workers, their families, and their communities.
