TRADESWOMEN BUILD NATIONS TO TAKE OVER NEW ORLEANS ON SEPTEMBER 27-29

Over 5,000 Tradeswomen from the U.S. and Canada to Attend Largest Ever TWBN Conference

Washington, D.C. September 3, 2024 – On Friday, September 27, through Sunday 29, more than 5,000 tradeswomen, along with top labor, government, and industry leaders from across North America, will be in New Orleans for the 14th annual Tradeswomen Build Nations Conference.

Tradeswomen Build Nations (TWBN), hosted by North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU), is the largest annual building trades conference in the world, bringing together tradeswomen from the United States and Canada. Our three-day conference and the entire TWBN movement cultivate leadership, mentorship, activism, and sisterhood to address vital issues facing tradeswomen worldwide.

This year’s conference theme is “Let the good jobs roll.”  The event will include plenary sessions, workshops, panels, a banner parade, and networking opportunities geared towards empowering tradeswomen and developing and honing skills and knowledge to help them succeed and be fulfilled in their careers. This year’s goal is to uplift women in our industry, promote women’s recruitment and retention, increase health and safety education and awareness, and expand tradeswomen’s engagement—on the job and in our unions. The conference will underscore the significance of the Infrastructure Generation – this once-in-a-generation workforce being created from the unprecedented federal policy wins delivered for working families in the construction industry – and emphasize the importance of the November election.

TWBN conference plenaries and the banner parade are open to credentialed press only. Please RSVP to comms@nabtu.org and kaylie@nabtu.org to request a credential prior to the event.
