Washington, D.C. – December 05, 2018 – North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement honoring President George Herbert Walker Bush, 41st President of the United States, in observance of today’s National Day of Mourning:

“Today, America mourns the passing of President George H.W. Bush, a great leader and statesman who devoted his life and service to strengthening America. President Bush engaged often with us, and respected our vision. He always fulfilled White House meeting requests with our Governing Board and made many appearances at NABTU legislative conferences. On behalf of NABTU and millions of building trades members, we extend our highest gratitude to President Bush for his lifelong and distinguished service to our nation, and we solemnly join the nation in honoring his exemplary contributions and unwavering commitment to our country.”
