WASHINGTON—Today, Sean McGarvey, President of North America’s Building Trades Unions issued the following statement on the passing of Senator John McCain:

“On behalf of NABTU and millions of building trades members, we offer our deepest condolences to Senator McCain’s family and extend our sincere gratitude to the Senator for his long and distinguished service to our nation. No matter our differences, he routinely placed principle over political expediency and above all, was a patriot. Our country needs more public servants like John McCain.”
