“On behalf of North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) and the millions of highly skilled tradesmen and tradeswomen we represent, we urge the Senate to confirm Howard Lutnick as the next U.S. Secretary of Commerce.

“Throughout his accomplished career, Mr. Lutnick has demonstrated an understanding of the economic landscape and ability to drive job growth and investment in American industries. We are hopeful that under his leadership, the Commerce Department will continue to advance policies that strengthen job creation, workforce development, and economic opportunity for all Americans.

“NABTU stands ready to work with Mr. Lutnick to keep expanding investments in critical infrastructure, bolster domestic manufacturing—including the expansion of U.S.-based semiconductor production—and champion fair trade policies that uplift American workers and their families. We urge the Senate to swiftly approve his nomination.”
