Washington, D.C. – November 17, 2021 – Today, North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement:

“We at NABTU congratulate Mr. Willie Phillips on his confirmation to serve on the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). He is an advocate who values the worth of an all of the above energy approach and the middle-class sustaining jobs a unionized workforce provides.

“FERC plays a key role in the livelihoods of many of the three million craft-persons who make up our membership and by filling this vacant seat, Mr. Phillips will break the deadlock that has slowed the benefits of numerous projects to our members and communities across the country.”
