NABTU STATEMENT ON EPA ANNOUNCEMENT TO IDENTIFY AND REMOVE LEAD PIPES OVER THE NEXT TEN YEARS

Washington, D.C. – October 9, 2024 – North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement:

“The Biden Administration continues to prioritize our families and communities. This final rule by the Environmental Protection Agency to identify and replace lead pipes across this country will not only provide cleaner drinking water to millions of Americans, but it will do so while creating local middle-class sustaining union jobs.”
