Washington, D.C. – May 26, 2020 – North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement on today’s AFL-CIO endorsement vote:

“We are aware of the discussion held and the action taken today by the AFL-CIO. At this time, NABTU’s total focus remains on Congress and the Administration passing and providing additional relief measures for our members and the American people. We need leadership and decisive action from elected officials to get people back to work and to ensure their health and safety on the job. Political considerations will be made by NABTU at a later date.”
