Washington, D.C. – May 27, 2024 – Today, North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement in honor of Memorial Day 2024:

“This Memorial Day, NABTU stands united with all Americans in solemn remembrance of the brave souls who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation. As we honor the fallen heroes who courageously defended our freedoms, we also extend our deepest gratitude to the valiant men and women currently serving in the armed forces.

“So many American heroes across the world put their lives on the line in service to our country, and today, we pause to reflect on their commitment and express our sincere gratitude for their selfless service.

“As we mourn those who have given everything for our nation, we recognize the spirit of unity and resilience that defines America and honor their legacy by continuing to uphold the values they fought to protect.”
