NABTU Statement Applauding Bicameral Passage of Inflation Reduction Act

Washington, D.C. – August 12, 2022 – Today, North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) President Sean McGarvey issued the following statement:

“We applaud Congress for voting to uplift the middle class and America’s economy by passing the Inflation Reduction Act. By taking strong action to lower the federal deficit, fight inflation, and provide historic labor protections in the largest investment to fight climate change and accelerate domestic energy production in our nation’s history, this bill gives relief to all Americans. The Inflation Reduction Act places our country on a more secure and sustainable path, and opens more family-sustaining, middle-class career opportunities for millions of union and nonunion construction workers across the country.”
