NABTU Announces Scholarship Initiative for Rowan University Construction Management Program

North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) is pleased to announce the Governing Board of Presidents (GBOP) Scholarship for Building Trades members and staff who are enrolled in the Construction Management Bachelor’s Degree Program at Rowan University.

Beginning with the Fall 2016 semester, Rowan University will offer fourteen (14) GBOP Scholarships annually to Building Trades members or staff who have applied and been admitted to the Rowan University Construction Management Program.  One scholarship will be available to a member from each trade.  If individual trades are not represented in the incoming class, the remaining scholarships will be awarded based on merit.  Any scholarship money not awarded for the Fall 2016 Semester will be available for students who enroll in the Spring or Summer 2017 Semesters.

GBOP Scholarships will pay for half of the first year tuition changes for full-time students (full-time enrollment is defined as two classes per semester).  The value of these scholarships will be up to $3,600 per student. The scholarships will only be available to first year students (they are not recurring awards).

Building Trades members (or staff) who have been already been accepted to the Construction Management Program for Fall 2016 can still apply for the GBOP Scholarship. The deadline has been extended to October 1, 2016 for Building Trades members (or staff) to apply for the 2016-17 GBOP Scholarship.

Building Trades members (or staff) can also still apply to the Construction Management Program for Fall 2016 enrollment.  The deadline to apply for the Construction Management program for this Fall has been extended to September 1, 2016.  In the interests of time for late applicants, Rowan University encourages potential students to register as non-matriculated students and then to complete the full enrollment process during their first semester.
