North America’s Building Trades Unions U.S. Legislative Conference, April 25-26, 2023

President Biden, Republican and Democratic leaders, Business and Labor executives to headline annual gathering

Washington, D.C. – April 21, 2023 – Thousands of national, state and local building trades leaders from across the country will gather at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C. on Tuesday, April 25, and Wednesday, April 26, for North America’s Building Trades Unions’ U.S. Legislative Conference.

The multi-day ‘Building the Infrastructure Generation’ themed event will feature plenary speeches from President Biden, labor, government, community, and business leaders celebrating historic federal infrastructure investments, and highlighting unionized construction’s gold-standard workforce development model and programs to increase diverse recruitment and retention in the industry. Capitalizing on these historic levels of investment, building trades unions are ready to meet the moment with the next infrastructure generation. Conference delegates will also attend educational workshops and visit Capitol Hill to advocate for infrastructure implementation, permitting reform, and the National Apprenticeship Act, among other key legislative priorities.
