Washington, D.C. – September 11, 2020 – Today, North America’s Building Trades Unions (NABTU) released the following statement from President Sean McGarvey on the 19th anniversary of 9/11:

“America will never forget the horrendous 9/11 attacks which upended our world and shook our nation to its core. On this solemn anniversary, we remember and uphold the amazing legacy of the heroic building trades members and first responders who risked their lives with goodwill to save others. These heroes’ shining inspirations of love and light during a very dark moment in our nation’s history are a strong reminder for our humanity to challenge hate today. In honor of the thousands of innocent Americans including more than 60 building trades members killed during the attacks, let us all do more to unify America with decency, justice, and dignity for all.”
