Building Union Diversity Apprenticeship Readiness Program graduates on stage presenting their stories to event attendees.

On June 28, NABTU visited St. Louis, Missouri at the Sheet Metal Workers Local 36 training center. In The News

Total Information AM (Audio) – NABTU President Sean McGarvey joined the show to discuss how the building trades are capitalizing on the historic federal infrastructure investments from the Biden Administration.

Labor Tribune – “There’s over 250,000 people in our training programs and we can ramp that up to one million,” McGarvey said. “With the investments made by the Biden-Harris Administration and members of Congress, we’re going to start filling those numbers up and growing these training programs through our apprentice-ready programs like BUD and creating pathways to the middle-class for everyone who wants an opportunity.”

KSDK Local News – Monday’s event illustrated how union workers, business leaders, and government officials came together to ensure that union-trained workers are prepared to “meet the moment” as federal infrastructure and works projects come online.
