The National Alliance for Fair Contracting (NAFC)

The labor and management National Alliance for Fair Contracting (NAFC) is the construction industry’s preeminent non-profit compliance forum, comprising more than 20 autonomous member organizations which promote fair, competitive contracting on publicly funded construction across the country.  NAFC’s fair contracting affiliates serve the public interest by partnering with government contracting and enforcement agencies to promote equity during the procurement phase, and greater adherence to prevailing wage, apprenticeship, and safety laws during construction.  In doing so, NAFC’s affiliate partners combat the scourge of wage theft, independent contractor misclassification, and lost tax revenues which have long depressed markets.  NAFC’s mission is to ensure that the public works “level-playing field”, taxpayer return-on-investment, and workforce development promises are not hollow shells.
