BackgroundFERC announced a revised environmental review schedule for the Florida Gas Transmission Company’s (Florida Gas) proposed Wekiva Parkway Relocation Project in Lake and Seminole Counties, Florida. FERC now intends to issue an EA for the project by September 14, 2017 and a final authorization by December 13, 2017. The proposed project would resolve conflicts with the Florida Department of Transportation’s construction of State Road 429, a new toll road (known as the Wekiva Parkway) that currently conflicts with portions of Florida Gas’s existing 12-inch and 26-inch Sanford pipeline laterals and appurtenant facilities. To resolve the conflicts, Florida Gas is proposing to relocate and replace approximately 4.60 miles of 12-inch Sanford Lateral pipe and approximately 3.16 miles of 26-inch Sanford Lateral Loop pipeline with approximately 4.56 miles of 12-inch Sanford Lateral pipe and 3.12 miles of 26-inch Sanford Lateral Loop pipeline.
