Notice of Public Meeting of the Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board (EMSSAB), Hanford Site, Washington
Background: DOE announced a public meeting of the Environmental Management Site-Specific Advisory Board (EMSSAB), Hanford site (in southeastern Washington) on September 6 – 7, 2017 in Hood River, Oregon. The purpose of the EMSSAB is to make recommendations regarding site management at the Hanford site in the areas of environmental restoration, waste management, and related activities. The tentative agenda for the meeting includes the following: (1) Tri-Party Agreement Agencies’ Updates; (2) Hanford Advisory Board Committee Reports; (3) Board Business; (4) Potential Draft Advice on the Fiscal Year 2019 Budget; and (5) Potential Draft Advice on the State of the Site Meetings.
Dates:
- The meeting will be held from 8:30am – 5:00pm on September 6, 2017 and from 8:30am – 1:00pm on September 7, 2017. Both meetings will be held at the Best Western Hood River Inn, 1008 E Marina Drive, Hood River, Oregon 9703. Written statements may be filed with the EMSSAB either before or after the meeting. Individuals who wish to make oral statements at the meeting pertaining to agenda items should notify Kristen Holmes, DOE, at (509) 376 – 5803 or Kristen.L.Holmes@rl.doe.gov. Requests must be received five days prior to the meeting and reasonable provisions will be made to include the presentation in the agenda.
